Chartered Accounting Firm Roles

Chartered Accounting firms are the ideal place to start your accounting career and many people follow this route and often once qualified (usually after 3-5 years) move into the commercial accounting world.  Chartered Accounting gives people an excellent overview of the business world as they cover all industries so you get to understand how different businesses operate and get a broad view of the accounting function.

Evolve has a long history within this sector of the market and we have strong relationships with CA firms not only in Auckland but around the country.  We regularly travel to the regional areas of NZ to support firms in areas such as Northland, Waikato, BoP, Hawkes Bay, Wellington, Canterbury, Otago and others.

We work with most firms form the sole practitioner to the Big Four and 2^nd tier firms right across the country.  The type of work done in these firms can vary greatly and be very influenced by who the Partners are.  Just because a firm only has two partners and half a dozen staff doesn’t necessarily mean they only work with small businesses.

Big four firms tend to be dominate in the Audit and Tax areas whereas the 2^nd and mid tier are more dominated by their Business Services (typically known as BAS) divisions.  Most of the larger firms do cover all disciplines of accounting as detailed below.

Roles within Chartered Accounting range from Partnership opportunities, Manager, Senior, Intermediate down to Graduate level and we cover all of the disciplines including BAS, Audit, Tax, Corporate Finance and Insolvency.
